Our Mission
Sober Events are a bridge between people in recovery and members of the community to break down stigma and encourage support. We provide support, resources, meetings, and volunteer opportunities to aid in community reintegration...in a fun way!
Outreach 419 is powered by Sober Events, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a supportive and stigma-free recovery community. As the nonprofit arm, Sober Events allows us to provide impactful programs, events, and resources to those in recovery and the broader community. All donations made to Outreach 419 go through Sober Events and are fully tax-deductible, ensuring that every contribution directly supports our mission of connection, empowerment, and recovery.

🔔 Ring the Bell,
Tell the Town
Around here, we make noise for recovery.
At Outreach 419, we believe every step forward deserves celebration. Whether it’s your first day or 10th year, we ring the church bell to honor the courage, consistency, and heart it takes to keep showing up. It’s not just about marking time—it’s about shouting to the world that recovery is happening right here.
These joyful moments remind us that we’re not alone. The bell brings us together, building community through shared victories, laughter, and even a few happy tears. Because when you’ve fought hard to change your life, the sound of that bell isn’t just noise—it’s a battle cry of freedom.

What Happens at Groups?
Real talk. Real support. Real recovery—your way.
Our All-Recovery meetings are a safe space for anyone impacted by addiction—whether you're in recovery yourself, supporting a loved one, or just looking for a judgment-free place to belong. We don’t tell you how to recover—we walk alongside you as you discover what works best for you.
At Outreach 419, all pathways are welcome. That means we honor and respect recovery from AA, NA, Celebrate Recovery, SMART Recovery, faith-based journeys, harm reduction, medication-assisted treatment, and more. If you're on the path to healing, you're welcome here.
Each group is led by a CCAR-certified Peer Recovery Coach and includes open sharing, encouragement, and practical tools to help you stay grounded and grow in your journey. Whether you're new to recovery or have been on the path for years, there’s a seat for you at the table.

Fox 17:
Recovery with Heart
We’re honored to be featured by our local news station for the growing impact of Outreach 419 in Montcalm County. What began as Friday night dinners and board games has grown into a 7-day-a-week recovery hub—because healing doesn’t just happen in meetings, it happens in community.
In the video, you’ll hear from participants like Becky and Will, who found something here they didn’t expect: family, fun, and freedom from judgment. You’ll also hear from our founders, Heidi and Robert Woldhuis, who built this center out of lived experience and a deep belief that recovery should never feel lonely. We believe the opposite of the isolation in addiction is the community in recovery.
We’re not just about staying sober—we’re about learning to live again. That means laughter, connection, support, and safe spaces where you can be yourself. Watch the story below to see how Outreach 419 is becoming a lifeline for people across the region.
