Elmdale Church of the Nazarene Recovery Community Center
Elmdale Church of the Nazarene in Alto, MI
A New Hub for Community and Recovery Bringing Outreach 419 support to the Elmdale Church of the Nazarene.

Not Just Another Recovery Meeting.
We are thrilled to announce a new partnership between Outreach 419 and the Elmdale Church of the Nazarene. Elmdale Church is generously providing space to host all Outreach 419 programming and drop in recovery center space creating a dedicated hub for our community.
Our mission at this new location is to provide a safe, supportive, and active environment where all pathways of recovery are welcome. Whether you are just starting your journey or continuing it, we are here for you.

What is a Drop-In Center?
What is it? Think of a drop-in center as a recovery "living room." It is a safe, no-pressure space where you can just be. There are no clinical appointments and no white coats. It is a place to find community, grab a cup of coffee, and connect with people who actually get it.
What happens there? Whether you need to use a computer for a job search, attend a support group, play a game of cards, or just talk to someone who has walked in your shoes—that’s what we’re here for. It is about connection, not just correction.
Who can come? Anyone. We don’t care what your "pathway" is. Whether you use 12-step programs, faith-based recovery, medication-assisted treatment, or something else entirely, if you are looking for support and a sober environment, our doors are open.

What is a Recovery Coach?
Is it like a therapist? Not exactly. A therapist looks at your past to help you heal; a Recovery Coach looks at your present to help you build a future. We are peers—people with lived experience in recovery—who walk alongside you. We don't give you a diagnosis; we give you a plan.
What do they actually do? A Recovery Coach helps you navigate the "real life" side of sobriety. That might mean helping you find stable housing, prepping for a job interview, identifying your triggers, or holding you accountable to the goals you set for yourself. We are your biggest advocate and your toughest truth-teller.
Why do I need one? Recovery is hard, and doing it alone is a trap. A coach provides that extra layer of connection and accountability that makes the difference between just "not using" and actually building a life you enjoy living.
